As soon as we set our wedding date, I got busy with my planning and shopping for everything I needed. Since I love to shop online, I decided that was as good a place to start as any. I’m glad I did too, with all they had to offer there was no problem finding everything I needed to plan the perfect wedding and reception. Starting with the beautiful invitations I chose, and finishing with the super wedding favors for our friends and family.
We had no problem choosing the theme we wanted for our wedding and reception, it had to be a beach theme. The beach has been a special place for us and our friends ever since we were kids.
So, first off I took care of the invitations for our beach wedding and reception and then I was on my way to the best part of the shopping, my bridal accessories. I found so many accessories I wanted to order and some weren’t for the wedding, but just to have for myself. One of my favorite things was the gorgeous bridal hair accessories they had to offer. I chose a lovely tiara for the wedding, and picked out a beautiful hair comb to have for other events we may attend. I also found the perfect pearl necklace and earring set that will go with the pearl inlayed wedding dress I bought. Everything I ordered was the height of bridal fashion and I actually saved money with all the special discounts I found.
There was so much in the way of wedding accessories that was absolutely exquisite and the best part was, it wasn’t all that expensive. I ordered some things for our honeymoon too. I know that a short thin materialed dress would have been more appropriate for a beach ceremony, but I had my heart set on my full length gown. My bridesmaids wore a light weight satin dress for my wedding and so did my little flower girl. They all looked so lovely in their wedding attire.
There were tiki torches and those little white christmas lights everywhere and a dance floor my fiance had fixed there. I had sailboat place card holders and placed seashells and starfish all around the tables. I didn’t want to give our guests some useless wedding favor that would be stuck in a drawer and forgotten, so we gave them beach themed picture frames as thank you gifts. I think they all liked the frames as much as I did.
On the bride and groom table were our toasting flutes, lovely candles in their beach theme holders and lots of lovely tealights. Our wedding cake topper was especially designed for a beach wedding just as all our other accessories for our reception. We had a cake topper of a young couple holding each other as they walked along the beach. I’m so glad they had all the supplies and bridal accessories we needed to plan the perfect beach wedding and reception. We danced, ate tons of seafood, like shrimp, crab, lobster and of course we had other foods for those that didn’t like seafood. We danced to some really great tunes and enjoyed the fantastic foods that were prepared and just had one heck of a beach party. If it wasn’t for going on our honeymoon, I never would have left our terrific beach party.
The first thing I had to do when we came home from our honeymoon was get out my wedding guest book I bought online and make out all the thank you notes for the people that shared our wedding day with us. My beach themed picture album has all the memories within its beautiful covers for me to enjoy anytime I want to look back on our special beach wedding and reception.
